Responsibilities
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and efficiently to ensure timely arrival at customer locations.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety protocols while navigating Fresno and surrounding areas.
- Handle packages with care, ensuring they are delivered in pristine condition.
- Interact professionally and courteously with a diverse range of clients and customers.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues immediately.
- Utilize handheld delivery technology to scan packages and update delivery statuses in real-time.
- Manage package documentation and handle returns or exceptions according to company policy.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience in a commercial or logistics environment.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong familiarity with GPS navigation systems and smartphone apps.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
