Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles in a safe and legally compliant manner at all times.
- Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and handling of freight.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD) and records of service for all assigned loads.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and route plans to ensure timely deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding load status and potential delays.
- Represent the company professionally at customer facilities and during interactions.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no preventable accidents within the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience as a Class A Driver (OTR or Regional).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong knowledge of interstate and intrastate traffic laws and regulations.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
