Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) standards.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and documentation according to company protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and daily reports, ensuring 100% compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery times and any potential delays.
- Uphold a professional image while representing the company brand on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the proper endorsements.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) or ability to obtain one.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement, DOT regulations, and map reading.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
