Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and school-related activities in accordance with established routes and schedules.
- Ensure the safety of all passengers by maintaining order, monitoring behavior, and enforcing safety rules.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is mechanically sound and safe.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school administration, and dispatch regarding delays or incidents.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment, including the restroom, to ensure student comfort.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding driving conduct.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical).
- A clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Pass a comprehensive background check, including criminal history and drug screening.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination demonstrating the ability to perform the job functions.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact positively with children and parents.
