Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and school-sponsored activities according to assigned routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Manage student behavior on the bus, maintaining a safe and orderly environment.
- Assist students in boarding and exiting the bus, particularly those with special needs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and school administrators regarding route changes or delays.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary interior of the bus at all times.
- Adhere to all state and local traffic laws and school district safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driverβs License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement (or willingness to obtain via our paid training program).
- Clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Physically capable of loading/unloading students and operating a large vehicle.
- Excellent communication skills and patience.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and occasional evening activities.
