Responsibilities
- Safely transport students on assigned routes following all traffic laws
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of buses to ensure mechanical safety
- Maintain orderly conduct among students during transit
- Adhere to strict schedules and punctuality requirements
- Complete daily mileage logs and maintenance reports
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Emergency response training and incident reporting protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Passenger endorsement
- Acceptable driving record (MVR check required)
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Basic first aid/CPR certification (training provided)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for emergency situations
- Fluent English communication skills
- Child safety awareness and patience
