Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students to/from school and field trips
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections of bus systems
- Maintain strict adherence to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Manage student behavior with professionalism and patience
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Complete accurate incident and maintenance reports
- Assist students with mobility needs (wheelchair accessibility training provided)
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Pass Department of Transportation physical and drug screening
- Clear background check and fingerprint clearance
- Minimum 1 year driving experience (commercial preferred)
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and assist students with mobility
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Fluency in English and Spanish highly desirable
