Responsibilities
- Safely transport students on designated routes following strict schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Implement student safety protocols during boarding, transit, and exiting
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident reporting documentation
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
- Adhere to all federal DOT and Colorado state transportation regulations
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations while maintaining student safety
Qualifications
- Valid Colorado driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with children preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (emergency equipment/supplies)
- Flexible availability for morning/afternoon shifts
- Willingness to complete provided CDL training program
