Responsibilities
- Operate school buses safely and efficiently on designated routes and for field trips.
- Ensure the safety of all students during loading, unloading, and while on the bus.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and hazard-free bus environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding schedules and issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and district transportation policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with School Bus and Passenger endorsements.
- Clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3-5 years).
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to manage student behavior positively.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
