Job Summary:
As a School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, while ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school on assigned routes.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Ensure the safety of students during loading, unloading, and while on the bus.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment at all times.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch regarding schedule changes or student issues.
- Follow all traffic laws and school district safety policies strictly.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement (P) and School Bus (S) endorsement preferred.
- Clear and clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3-5 years).
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Strong customer service skills and patience.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
