Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school on established routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain a positive, orderly environment on the bus
- Enforce school district safety protocols and behavior standards
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Complete accurate daily transportation logs and incident reports
- Adapt routes for field trips and extracurricular activities
Qualifications
- Valid Maryland Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- Pass federal background check and DOT physical examination
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage student behavior with patience and professionalism
- Must reside within 30 miles of Baltimore city limits
