Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict schedules and traffic laws
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Supervise student boarding, exiting, and behavior during transit
- Implement emergency evacuation procedures when necessary
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all federal/state transportation regulations and district policies
- Document daily mileage, incidents, and student attendance
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement
- Minimum 2 years driving experience with clean MVR
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Child First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Clear TB test and fingerprint clearance
- Strong communication skills and patience working with children
- Ability to work early morning/afternoon shifts
