Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a 40-foot school bus to transport students to and from school and school activities.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment on the bus at all times.
- Interact positively and professionally with students, parents, and school staff.
- Follow all traffic laws and district transportation policies without exception.
- Assist students in boarding and exiting the bus, including those with special needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
