Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips
- Conduct daily pre-trip bus inspections
- Maintain accurate student attendance logs
- Enforce bus safety protocols and behavioral standards
- Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
- Adapt routes for weather emergencies or special events
- Complete required maintenance reports
Qualifications
- Valid Indiana Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- School Bus (S) & Passenger (P) endorsements
- Clean driving record (no DUI/DWI in past 5 years)
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and climb bus steps
- Basic first aid/CPR certification (provided if needed)
- Experience working with children preferred
