Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school on designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Enforce safety protocols and manage student behavior
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to strict traffic laws and defensive driving practices
- Complete daily logs and incident documentation
- Participate in ongoing safety training and professional development
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License (Class B with Passenger Endorsement preferred)
- Clean driving record (minimum 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to obtain CDL with School Bus endorsement (training provided)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Background clearance through DOJ/FBI
- High school diploma or equivalent
