Responsibilities
- Safely transport students along assigned routes and to school activities, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all students while on the bus.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is mechanically sound and clean.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch.
- Manage student behavior in a firm, fair, and consistent manner.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or mechanical issues immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Clean driving record (MVR check required).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling with occasional heavy lifting.
- Strong customer service skills and patience when dealing with children.
