The Role
As a School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for the safety and well-being of our students. You will operate a commercial vehicle, ensuring a safe and pleasant journey to and from school. We are looking for individuals with a strong sense of responsibility and a commitment to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Safely transporting students along designated routes and to school events.
- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintaining a safe and orderly environment on the bus at all times.
- Communicating effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch.
- Adhering to all traffic laws and school district policies.
- Assisting passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle when necessary.
Qualifications
- A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Passenger endorsement is preferred, but we provide training for candidates without one.
- A clean driving record and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to work early morning and afternoon shifts.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift moderate weights.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
