Responsibilities
- Safely Transport Students: Drive school buses along designated routes, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of students.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Student Supervision: Maintain a safe, orderly environment on the bus, managing student behavior with patience and care.
- Route Adherence: Follow traffic laws and strict schedules, adapting to route changes as necessary.
- Communication: Report any incidents or mechanical issues to dispatch immediately.
- Community Engagement: Build positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Class B Commercial Driver's License with Passenger endorsement required.
- Clean Record: No major traffic violations or DUIs within the last 7 years.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass a physical examination.
- Availability: Flexibility to work early morning and/or afternoon shifts, weekends, and holidays.
