Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Transport students safely along assigned routes, adhering to strict traffic laws.
- Monitor student behavior on the bus to maintain a secure and orderly environment.
- Follow all district policies and procedures regarding student conduct and emergency evacuation.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school administrators, and dispatch regarding schedule changes or delays.
- Assist students in boarding and exiting the bus as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Passenger endorsement (S endorsement).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card).
- Clean driving record (no DUI/DWI within the last 7 years).
- Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle record review, and drug screening.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work varying shifts, including early mornings and afternoons.
