Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers for local and regional routes within 150 miles
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Manage delivery schedules and ensure on-time performance
- Assist in training new drivers when required
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Knowledge of local Corpus Christi and South Texas routes
- Strong safety record and defensive driving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Must pass background check and MVR verification
