Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students on designated routes following strict schedules
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Implement student discipline protocols while fostering a positive atmosphere
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all federal, state, and district transportation regulations
- Manage emergency procedures and student safety protocols
- Maintain accurate trip logs and incident documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 3 years professional driving experience
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate wheelchair lifts
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 5 years
- Must be at least 25 years old
