Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is road-ready and safe.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo integrity and proper weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DOT) and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly and on time.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, shippers, and receivers to coordinate schedules and resolve any logistical issues.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and customer service standards.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and a drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of interstate and intrastate DOT regulations and safety laws.
- Excellent navigation skills and ability to read maps and GPS systems.
- Must be willing to travel regionally and cross-state.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
