Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips on assigned routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district safety protocols
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement techniques
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Document incidents and maintain accurate route logs
- Respond professionally to emergency situations
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger/School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Clear DMV driving record (no more than 2 points in 3 years)
- Pass FBI background check and pre-employment drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Flexible availability during peak hours (6-9 AM, 2-5 PM)
