Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips following designated routes
- Conduct daily pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reports
- Maintain a positive, orderly environment on the bus at all times
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district safety protocols
- Manage student loading/unloading procedures and emergency protocols
- Complete accurate attendance and incident documentation
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger/school bus endorsements
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Pass background check, physical exam, and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work flexible hours (early mornings, afternoons)
- Strong communication skills and child-safety awareness
- Ability to work independently with remote administrative support
