Responsibilities
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, school bus safety regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus, managing student behavior with patience and professionalism.
- Assist students in entering and exiting the bus safely, including those with special needs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, school administration, and parents regarding routes and delays.
- Keep the bus clean and free of debris at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service.
- Ability to work varying schedules, including early mornings and afternoons.
