Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across Ohio and regional routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain meticulous vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo efficiently using proper equipment techniques
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for optimal route planning and on-time deliveries
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, clients, and warehouse personnel
- Document delivery receipts and handle cargo documentation accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical examination and random drug screening
- Proficient in electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic navigation systems
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Commercial insurance coverage meeting company standards
