Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) to transport freight safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate delivery records and electronic logging systems
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip to ensure mechanical safety and compliance
- Plan optimal routes using GPS technology to meet delivery timelines
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Assist with loading/unloading when necessary while following proper procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with HOS regulations and electronic logging devices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong navigation skills and knowledge of Mid-Atlantic roadways
- Professional communication skills and customer service orientation
- Willingness to pass background check and company training
