Responsibilities
- Transport students to and from school and school-related activities in a safe and timely manner.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure safety compliance and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain order and discipline on the bus while interacting positively with students.
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus, including those with special needs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times.
- Complete and submit required daily logbooks and incident reports accurately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Pass a background check, drug screening, and physical examination (DOT compliant).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to remain calm in various situations.
- Excellent driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
