Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict schedules and safety protocols
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle maintenance logs
- Supervise student conduct, enforce bus rules, and ensure passenger safety
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation coordinators
- Respond professionally to emergencies and ensure student wellbeing during transit
- Maintain accurate attendance records and route documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger/School Bus endorsements
- Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and background check
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Child CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work flexible hours (early mornings/afternoons)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
