Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students to/from school and field trips
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain strict adherence to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement techniques
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Complete daily maintenance logs and incident reports
- Assist students with mobility needs (wheelchair lifts available)
Qualifications
- Valid Indiana Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger/school bus endorsement
- Pass federal DOT physical and drug screening
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Clear background check and driving record
- Child CPR/First Aid certification (training provided)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate wheelchair lifts
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
