Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety
- Supervise student behavior during transit and enforce transportation rules
- Maintain accurate attendance logs and route documentation
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations and student needs
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus Endorsement (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum 1 year of driving experience
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage student behavior calmly and professionally
- Flexible schedule availability (early mornings, afternoons, and occasional weekends)
