Responsibilities
- Operate box truck for local/regional deliveries within New Jersey and surrounding areas
- Maintain accurate delivery records and route documentation
- Ensure cargo safety through proper loading/unloading protocols
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintenance reporting
- Communicate delivery status and ETAs to dispatch team
- Adhere to DOT regulations and safety standards
- Optimize routes for maximum efficiency and fuel savings
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Owned box truck (26+ ft) with current registration and insurance
- Proven experience in local/regional freight delivery
- Strong knowledge of Newark/NJ roadways and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Smartphone with GPS and reliable communication
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Strong time management and customer service abilities
