Responsibilities
- Operate school bus safely on designated routes and for field trips.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Manage student behavior and maintain a safe, orderly environment on the bus.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding schedules and delays.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and school district policies.
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus in a safe and timely manner.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with a School Bus (S) endorsement.
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong commitment to student safety and punctuality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
