Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspectionsSupervise student behavior during transit and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Maintain accurate attendance records and route documentation
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation coordinators
- Adapt routes and schedules as needed for school events or emergencies
- Complete required training and certifications (CDL, First Aid, etc.)
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Experience working with children preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with mobility-impaired students
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliability and punctuality
