Responsibilities
- Operate school buses safely and punctually on assigned routes and field trips.
- Ensure the safety and behavior management of students during transport.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and school administration regarding delays or issues.
- Assist passengers with boarding, seating, and exiting the vehicle in a secure manner.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment for passengers.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and school district policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) endorsement.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Card) or willingness to obtain.
- Clean driving record with no major moving violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to pass a physical examination to ensure fitness for duty.
- Strong customer service skills, patience, and a friendly demeanor.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
