Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school on designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain cleanliness of assigned bus
- Ensure student safety during loading, unloading, and transit
- Follow strict schedules and communicate delays promptly
- Manage student behavior according to district policies
- Complete daily trip logs and incident reports
- Participate in mandatory safety training sessions
Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly
- Must be 21+ years old and have clean driving record
