Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety
- Supervise student behavior during transit and enforce bus rules with professionalism
- Maintain accurate attendance records and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation coordinators
- Adapt routes for field trips, sporting events, and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Commercial Driver's License (Class B) with P/S endorsement
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clear background check and driving record
- Minimum 25 years of age
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Patience and dedication to student safety
