Responsibilities
- Drive school buses safely and efficiently on designated routes.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during loading, unloading, and transit.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain order on the bus and manage student behavior positively.
- Communicate effectively with school staff and parents regarding schedules and incidents.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and school district transportation policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Clean driving record with no major violations within the last 7 years.
- Pass a thorough background check and drug screen.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
