Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport loose materials such as sand, gravel, and dirt to and from job sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload materials efficiently using forklifts, skid steers, or manual labor methods.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic driver logs (EOBR) in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, site supervisors, and other crew members.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience driving dump trucks or heavy commercial vehicles.
- Clean driving record (no major violations or DUIs within the last 5 years).
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of basic vehicle maintenance and mechanical issues.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy loads and working in various weather conditions.
