Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes while adhering to all traffic laws
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Ensure student safety through proper supervision and emergency protocols
- Maintain accurate transportation records and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Provide first aid assistance when necessary
- Keep bus interior clean and sanitized
Qualifications
- Valid Alaska Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Minimum 3 years driving experience
- Clear background check and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and withstand Alaska weather conditions
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
