Responsibilities
- Safely transport students on assigned routes adhering to strict schedules and traffic laws
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain a positive, orderly environment on the bus
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Follow emergency protocols and ensure student safety protocols
- Complete accurate daily trip logs and incident reports
- Assist students with mobility needs as required
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger & School Bus endorsements
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with special needs
- Clear TB test and fingerprint clearance
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
