Responsibilities
- Safely transport students on assigned routes while adhering to strict schedules
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip bus inspections and maintenance checks
- Implement student safety protocols including emergency procedures and discipline
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
- Maintain clean and orderly bus interiors
- Complete required paperwork and incident reports accurately
- Adapt routes for field trips and special events as needed
Qualifications
- Valid Oregon Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience with clean MVR
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Experience working with children preferred
