Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular events
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Enforce safety protocols and manage student behavior professionally
- Maintain accurate attendance and route documentation
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district policies
- Respond to emergencies with calm and appropriate actions
Qualifications
- Valid Nebraska Commercial Driver's License (Class B with P/S endorsement)
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist mobility-impaired students
- Strong interpersonal skills and patience with diverse age groups
- Ability to work early mornings and afternoons
- Background check clearance
