Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain orderly conduct on the bus and enforce safety protocols
- Adhere to all traffic laws and district routing schedules
- Document student attendance and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and dispatch
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with P/S endorsement
- Minimum 2 years driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 5 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Child CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate wheelchair lifts
- Background clearance through KY State Police
