Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport materials (sand, gravel, dirt, demolition debris) to and from job sites efficiently.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently using forklifts or manual labor as required.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and mileage records as per Department of Transportation guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site managers, and co-workers to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience, preferably in dump truck or heavy haul.
- Clean driving record with no DUIs or major traffic violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy loads and working in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of DOT Hours of Service (HOS) regulations is a plus.
