Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct daily pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain student discipline and ensure safety protocols
- Adhere to precise routes and schedules
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and dispatch
- Report maintenance issues and vehicle defects
- Complete accurate trip documentation and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Maryland CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
- Minimum 3 years driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in 5 years)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist mobility-impaired students
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
