About The Role:
As a Route Driver, you will be the face of our company. You will ensure our products reach our customers safely and on time, providing exceptional customer service along the way. We value safety, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial delivery vehicles safely and efficiently on assigned local routes.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or hand trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo security.
- Verify and inspect delivered goods against delivery tickets for accuracy and damage.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, mileage, and delivery records using handheld devices.
- Provide professional, friendly customer service during every stop to ensure satisfaction.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- 2+ years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial or delivery role.
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of local Wichita geography and traffic patterns.
- Basic computer skills for logging data and checking orders.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
