Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery trucks over assigned routes within the Oakland and Bay Area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and DOT compliance.
- Load and unload freight efficiently while ensuring cargo security and damage control.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients and resolving delivery issues on-site.
- Adhere strictly to all local, state, and federal DOT regulations and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of Oakland and surrounding Bay Area routes and traffic patterns.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull packages up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor with a strong work ethic.
