Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles on assigned local routes throughout the New Orleans metro area.
- Perform professional loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring all packages are handled with care.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain proper signatures or proof of delivery.
- Complete all required paperwork, including delivery logs and vehicle inspection reports.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance of the vehicle at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve any delivery issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable experience in local route delivery.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Strong knowledge of New Orleans geography and street layouts.
- Basic computer skills for electronic logging devices (ELD) and paperwork.
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods during loading/unloading.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
