Job Summary:
As a Route Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of packages and freight to our customers. You will represent Golden Gate Freight Solutions with a professional demeanor and ensure all delivery documentation is accurate and up to date.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles to designated routes in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Load and unload merchandise from the vehicle using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Interact professionally with customers to ensure satisfaction and handle signatures for delivery.
- Maintain accurate logs of delivery stops, mileage, and delivery status.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized throughout the workday.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or equivalent commercial driving experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of driving experience in a commercial or delivery capacity.
- Achieved a satisfactory driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during the shift.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Basic computer literacy for logging delivery information.
- Must be available for full-time shifts, including weekends if necessary.
